After slightly delayed departures from both Houston & Atlanta, the group arrived in London 30 minutes early! Unfortunately they met long lines at immigration so we headed into London 30 minutes later than hoped!
Our first stop was a short lunch stop, then we continued into London where we met our local 'Blue Badge' guide, Pepe. We then spent the afternoon seeing some of the highlights & views of London, from historical sights to modern TV & film locations, from Buckingham Palace to the British Houses of Parliament.
Our tour finished in Leicester Square where we enjoyed our first group dinner, at a French-style bistro as a nod to our second destination Paris.
Everyone was tired as we traveled from dinner to our hotel in north London, most folks sleeping on the bus. Finally our long first day ended with check-in at our traditional British 'guest house', the Glenlyn Hotel.
Tomorrow: Windsor Castle & Oxford University
